I love long weekends, you get to sleep late, study, play- basically doing anything you want. However, I have been able to spend the last one properly because there was a class outing to the zoo and kbox after that. Today I'm glad I was able to spend much of the time doing the things I wanted. It is easy to get distracted in life and this certainly applies in jc life. Lately of since, I have been losing motivation to study. I guess the strains and stress of jc life are the main culprits. I wish I have the same self discipline as my 6 pointer friends, chen xing and eric sor. Of course, its easier said than done. You can never imagine how much effort and time they'd put in to achieve that result. From one of Coldplay's lyrics "Nobody said it was easy..." Like I've mentioned in one of my earlier post, am I doubtful of my decision to join a JC? I met Jiawei for soccer today and he mentioned to me how intriguing and fun is Mass Comm- with all the relaxed hours and fun lecturers. To think of it, I was so close to joining Mass Comm. Everytime people associate JC education as 1 who is stressful, tiring and draining- where students just mug and mug. Yes it true to a large extent. In JC you go home very late and yet have a pile of homework to finish, a series of tests to mug. It just drives everyone nuts. However, I rather believe it brings out the best out of students. To be honest it takes much mental strength not to watch tv or play computer games at night just to study. Well, this applies to the working world too. After a hard day of work, you still have to finish assignments at home. Perhaps I'm just consoling myself... Haha. Didn't manage to post this up because I was chatting to Mr Eddie Koh on Msn on 2am+ and that I was simply too too too tired. One thing JC students are seriously deprived of is SLEEP. That's why you find most of us dozing off in lectures and tutorials. +) The only tutorial I fall asleep in is Chemistry, I want to know why too. Everytime get caught by her. Haha. Back to the long weekend, I simply love it. Sometimes I rather stay at home for the whole day- which is what I've done today (Saturday). Normally, you have so much distractions that you cant find time to do some things you've have always wanted to do. Today I explored iTunes and listened to many different podcasts, guess I'm hooked on it already. The music store is very impressive, offering downloads of music tracks and videos too. Damn, I just wished I can own a credit card. Then I can spend my money away on eBay and all those crap. Haha. Economics is really a killer, but I enjoy it though. =) I spent the whole afternoon on the wages exercise, really blew my mind. It just takes time to understand to understand and to apply. There is a "Persistently Non-Political Podcast" by Mr Brown in Singapore. It talks about how a certain Bak Chor Mee(Minced Pork Noodles) man refuses to accept Jeff Lopez's apology and demand that he explain why he said he didnt ordered Tur Kwa(Pork Liver) when he actually did. (CCTV of the stall proved it). Go to www.mrbrown.com to enjoy. Meanwhile I've found this hilarious pic.
“The ‘Chee Cake’ is a confection that’s deeply symbolic,” said SDP spokesman According to Mr. Koh, “Despite the ditch he’s driven us into, we Mr. Koh also denied that NSP candidate Steve Chia is one of those posing in --- All I can say is that the people at talkingcock.com are sure a fun lot. Haha. I'm watching the FA Cup Final 2006 between Liverpool and West Ham. Liv 0-2 West Ham Liv 1-2 West Ham Liv 2-2 West Ham Liv 2-3 West Ham What a match, the clock is at 65mins now, what will be the final score? Seriously I dunno... Haha. *Updated* Liv 3-3 West Ham Steven Gerrard scored a 30 yard to equalise! Liv won 4-2 on Penalties, Reina saving 3. The last one he saved Anton Ferdinand and that lad literally broke down after that. What a poignant moment. However I admire West Ham for their fighting spirit. =) Ruud Van Nistelrooy. This man scored 150 goals for Man United since 2001 and is one of my favourite players there. Sadly he poised to leave Man United after this season. He will always remain of Man Utd's legend. Wish him luck wherever he may goes. Our rugby boys has reach the plate finals!! =) It's on next wednesday and I can go support them =). Hopefully I will be taking photos of Andre and Terry posing with the Trophy. |
