A JC life can be very mundane so they say... To a certain extent, it is. A typical school day is all about lectures and tutorials. Sometimes it gets so boring and unexciting we doze off. Tons and tons of homework are forever trailing on our backs. Ignore them at your own peril cause it will snowball. Haha... Even PE is not so nice now- intensive physical training for us. Plus CCA committments and other activities, you will be very fatigued each time you reach home. Sometimes it's just hard to fathom the decisions we made, why do we choose this path or why should we? Did you regret a single bit? I don't.

I feel proud being a PJC student even though we lose to other schools in terms of sports. On Monday, I watched our rugby boys battled it out with the SA boys. Although we eventually tasted defeat, we emerged as proud winners. Never once that we did not make them work hard for the victory. I watched 1 of our tennis boys play against CJ too. The atmosphere was so intense, every single point earned applauses and meant so much. At that time I felt so glad that I don't play individual sports like Tennis, where there is tons of pressue on you. In soccer, it's all about teamwork- either we perform well as a team, or we don't. Although seeing our school teams losing was a bad feeling, I'm accustomed to it. Many at times I find myself at the wrong end of the scoreline. Haha. I'm sure in the eyes of students of the top JCs, they belittle and look down on us. Just look in the reactions of your friends in those JCs when they know you're in PJ. Well, it's certainly a fact that we are inferior to those JCs in terms of Academic results, Sporting Achievements and even History. But who gives a damn? As long as we don't feel inferior ourselves we would stand every chance of beating them. I'm sure give this sch 10-20 years we will be among the top JCs. Haha what a dream.

Back to the topic about JC life. It was just in the news a couple of days ago that a JC 2 boy committed suicide because he felt that his manhood was not big enough. I felt a bout of sympathy while reading it. Being a fellow male, I feel that it's just a pity that he lose his life just because of a flaw in his body. Well, I'm sure the phrase " Nobody is perfect " is very familiar to you. Often we humans are so driven to attaining perfection in our lives. So true is this example. To be frank, I feel that I'm imperfect too. Academically, appearance and whatsoever. So how do you become perfect eventually? The answer is simple. It's to start to be content with yourself, whatever you have. In layman terms, love yourself and your life. You should live your life beautifully, and not just to try to please everyone else or be on par with them. Easier said than being done, there are always so many distractions in life that derail us. Nevertheless, once you understood your purpose in life, it could not be much better than ever.
