1 of the most important lessons I learned today is that organising your work, school and life makes things go so much more smoother. Tried and tested! On a lazy Sunday which I sinfully missed Church to stay at home all day, I went about doing things I had always left undone. And so I organised my stuffs. =) Firstly, the wardrope. I ransacked all my clothes out and placed them back neatly. (though there is still left undone due to lack of space.) Why? So that I am able to browse through my clothes without much hazzle. Seeing them in a untidy pile is always a sore eye and frustrates me. Secondly, the blog. I spent an hour or so blog-hopping to friends' blogs. I then linked them back on my blog and also update this blog. At the same time, I found a few long lost primary school friends' blogs. It felt good to find them back after 4 years but I also regret for not being able to keep in touch with them. Though I can't really recall all the good old times, the nostalgic feeling always comes to me. Thirdly, the computer. I also organised and did some maintainance on the computer. It is an integral part of my life and I cannot afford to lose it. Next. The week work plan. I started this thing so that I can note down all the things that need to be accomplished the following week. It also help me to plan my time and days better. For example for today, I attended my lectures, went back school to give invitations and bought a new bag. This is an example of how school, work and leisure are put into a day. This makes life so much easier cause I know what I need to do and not just waste time unneccessarily. However, tthis is not similar to a rigid time table. It simply provides me my objectives for that day. I refuse to be tied down to a fixed time table which achieves its aims but makes life so stressful. Its like, ohh its 4'o clock and I'll have to see what's next. I designed my plan so that its like "beginning with the ends in mind". There are much fewer restrictions. However, you should just decide what is best for you, like in my case. And lastly, it all came back to planning. I had to plan the class chalet again but this time I'm pretty sure it would go on smoothly. Meanwhile, I finally understand the pain and agony of the back stage people. What they have on their minds is only for the event to go on smoothly so that people can enjoy. And when they have make some painful decisions or mistakes on their part, they get blamed and scolded. They never do get to enjoy the limelight do they? Even so, the satisfaction will eventually sweep off the bitterness in them when they finally succeed. That is why I choose to be an organiser/planner. |
